Sophia I just finished this one today. Funny that we picked it up at the same time.

Ceri I keep seeing it every time I post a review on Amazon, which I did yesterday, then I logged on here and saw you'd been liking a review and it was like fate was telling me to read this one next. I didn't realise you were reading it though. What did you think of it? I am enjoying it so far, about 30% in. I haven't read steampunk before, so not sure if it's typical of that or not.

I've had it since December, but haven't had a chance to pick it up and read it until now. I kept seeing reminders to like another book using the same cover caught my eye.

I really liked it for the most part. I did get annoyed with Darcy and Seraphene a little the way they were both so fast to jump to conclusions, but that's par for the course when it comes to those two. I thought all the younger siblings were spoiled brats, but it did make for good conflict in the story. I found the story getting gradually darker and more serious as I read, but I liked it. The Steampunk was cool though I confess that I'm relatively new to it. I really felt there was room for a second book. I'm curious to see if you think so too when you finish.

Ceri I will let you know :) Completely agree with you about the siblings, they are all vile!

Ceri Definitely could do with a sequel. I really enjoyed it although I would have liked them to talk a bit more, for example they both realise that she was bugged, she works out when, he works out who was responsible but neither of them ever tells the other, that sort of thing happens a lot.

Yes, the non-communication is what annoyed me too. Even though their families ended up together at Pemberley, I felt there was no real closure between Darcy and his or Sera and hers. And the mysterious older brother of hers is still on the loose doing mysterious things. They never got a chance to do anything with his invention... I truly hope there is more coming.

Ceri I was a bit disappointed in regards to her brother, I was expecting something more. I agree with you regarding the closure, and there was very little talking between the siblings aside from Darcy with his brother. I wanted to know what was going to happen with the invention and with Rich.

There is an author's note at the end which says she is working on a sequel, so I hope that is still the case.

Oh good! I must have missed the author's note.
