At the end of chapter 13, Atticus was talking to the kids about what it meant to be a Finch and how it is very important to stand up for the Finch name and act like a Finch. Atticus didn't completely agree with what he told the kids, but Aunt Alexandra told him to and Atticus told the kids to forget about what he had told them. I don't really like the book right now. I read about 130 minutes. This update is for 9-11.

The kids just finished talking to Mrs. Maudie after the fire and she's not sad at all. Or at least she isn't showing it. She thinks that this fire is a chance to build a new smaller house like she always wanted and to have a bigger, prettier yard. I think the book is good. I read about 85-95 minutes this week.

The kids just stopped playing the game about the Radleys when their dad came out and was talking to them. Scout was saying that she heard laughter at the very end of a chapter. I read about 100 minutes this week. I am starting to like this book.
