...delightful wall of shelves at the back—floor to ceiling with one of those old-fashioned library ladders rolling across at the slightest provocation. That it existed was all the provocation any bibliophile could need. Avie rolled it to one end, climbed halfway up, and pulled herself along as she perused books on butterflies and birds of America, seventeenth-century fashion, and a delicious shelf of mysteries.
