I've only read one chapter and this may have to be a DNF.
The version of the Kitty Genovese story told is completely inaccurate and has been debunked. This calls into question all "research" in this book.
The tone of the author is incredibly patronizing. Stop telling me that a fact is "interesting"; just say it. Let's see if this book redeems itself in the next chapter.
