Parts of this are dry as sand, but then you get into parts that are like Dallas or Peyton Place...albeit in the 14th century.

I know you have to take things in the context of the times, but Sir John seemed to be a right bastard.

Hmmm...says Pont-Saint-Wsprit "was a centre for the corn and wine trades and a place where taxes and tolls were collected." Circa 1360? I doubt that. Maybe should be "coin"? Isn't that the town that had a mass psychosis outbreak in the 1950s for which the CIA was blamed?
