Based on zero examples, I think cousins in fiction are never positive characters.

Cousin Collins is so gross! He asks Lizzy to marry him and she's like "Mate, what the fuck, ew, no??" (I'm paraphrasing here but that's exactly what it is) and he's like "Ah yes, the classic thing women do when they pretend to not want you! Haha! I'll ask you again in a few days!" Dude, what??
