I grew up in the Camden Haven & often camped at Kylie's Hut at Indian Head outside of Laurieton. NSW, where she wrote The Man on the Headland. My father grew up in the Depression in Sydney. This tale is so real, so full of characters & streets I can "see". I admit I've never read Kylie Tennant before but I understand my brother's deep connection to her words. I wish I had read her earlier.
