I forgot the entire clan is known as the Mombamis, so let me make that correction to my first status update now.

The fact that Erimi is so self-confident about winning up until the moment where doubt about the gimmick in her machine is questioned never ceases to amuse me.

I can't believe it's been over a year and a half since I've read from this series. The anime adaptation had the current gamble occur first before jumping back to the Bamis' arrival, which I think was a poor choice. Getting the background along with the emphasis on the "Devouring Family" (a couple panels with highlighted teeth) is making this very entertaining.
