Probably the fourth or fifth TP book I read -'Pyramids' was the first. The sheer genius-level use of grammar, punctuation and human failings is unrivalled.

Definitely. I am particularly fond of The Watch books, but have never found a bad Pratchett book. From the unexpected, and hard-hitting, philosophical statements, to the hilarious footnotes he became know for. Pure brilliance.
