Wow, AMAZING prologue.
Today is the day that will change her life forever. Today is the day the Lauren Carmichael dies. I'm sure death is preferable to her after everything that has happened. A perfect permanent escape. Though the blood and wreckage make me sick to my stomach, this is the only way out.
