Started several new books recently bc I've been desperate for a story to sink into and have only been coming up with essay type memoirs, some excellent, some much less than. Today I started A Good Old-Fashioned Future, by Bruce Sterling (not realizing that it, too, is short stories). But I was COMPLETELY blown away by the first story's very simple, manically clever, slightly horrifying tale. Can't wait for more!!
