The Sixth Christmas by Mollie E. Reeder. It's amazing and you'll love it. A wonderful redemption arc. And for your little boy, the Scaredy Squirrel picture books, one of which is a Christmas one. They are so clever and hilarious!
Of course my top rec is Letters from Father Christmas!
I second Mary's recommendation of The Sixth Christmas by Mollie E. Reeder. I also love Shepherd's Abiding by Jan Karon (I adore that whole series). I also really love CHRISTMAS AT RUMPOLE MANSION by Karen Mezek Hunt and THE NIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS by James Stevenson and THE TALES OF THREE TREES by Angela Elwell Hunt. They are picture books and some of my absolute favorites.
