2. In what world is an industrial mechanic rich? I'm sorry, author, but it takes literally five seconds to google a list of jobs with high salaries and this ain't it. A man making ~$43k a year with a child of his own doesn't marry a woman who also has a child and then tell her she's now financially secure enough to quit her job. Jeez!

When someone so poor they live in a trailer park is given old furniture, they do not magically have the means to REUPHOLSTER IT. Does this author have no clue how much that would cost in materials? Methinks this author has never actually experienced or researched anything other than cushioned, upper middle class life.
