So far it’s been really tough to read. I don’t give a shit about the protagonist. Not enough to like him or hate him, and I don’t understand the antagonist. It’s trying really hard to come off as a full thought process, but ends up over explaining things that don’t matter, and glossing over the things that do. Resisting the urge to dnf

Really exciting opening. The familiar Colorado landmarks helps shape the story and characters well, and the details of human emotions that people rarely talk about is a breath of fresh air.
