It’s soooooo true ahahah! Also you might like Lucinda Brant after you English Civil War era jaunt hehe (if you haven’t read her yet). She and Riley are similar in some ways (they both write super Georgian) except Brant does the “licentious aristocracy of the 1700s” melodrama in the best sort of way.

Which will probably happen soon, because I don't think I could handle the intensity of the five Civil War novels back to back lol
