It's a great idea to keep track of the interesting moments with updates;) I'll go through them when I have time;) Not that I had thought of the idea of revisiting your updates after I'd read the respective parts:)

(view spoiler)[LOL, I'm less worried about major spoilers and more worried about spoiling the minor stuff like Shallan stealing the Soulcaster or revealing details of the philosophy in action lesson before it happened.

I wanted to chat it because it was the moment the Shard Blades really began to remind me of Nightblood! I never realized the similarities during my first read and that was likely because I had not yet read Warbreaker. The Thrill sounds just like Nightblood and so does the way the Shard Blade kill people by burning them from the inside out. Do you think the Shards are like mindless Nightbloods?. I'm very curious to learn more about the Thrill and why Dalinar lost it so suddenly. (hide spoiler)]

Ah, so this is one of the similarities with Nightblood:) I thought the shards were a very interesting kind of weapon. They didn't remind me of Nightblood, though you might be right about this. I still need more info:) (hide spoiler)]

I'm not so good as you might think:P. I just listen without worrying about taking any notes and then later spend 5 minutes skimming through the eBook to find the interesting quotes or chapter endings that I wanted to comment on:).

(view spoiler)[I'm not surprised in the slightest that Shallan decided to go ahead with the theft. She knows what is at stake for her family otherwise. You see how life as a slave is working out for poor Kaladin!

Philisophy in action was as fun as it was shocking. It showed much about how both Shallan and Jasnah think. What do you think of Jasnah?.

The Shards are very interesting. The Shard Blades definitely feel like non-sentient Nightbloods to me. I'm convinced that's exactly what they are. Do you remember the effects of Nightblood?. There were the exact same as being killed by a Shard Blade. Also the Thrill sounds exactly what both Nightblood and his wielders feel. (hide spoiler)]

I agree with you that Jasnah is cold but I still like her;) I think she's the perfect scientist - distant and objective though his a heart and a (bit of) conscience:) Shallan provides the perfect balance for her with her sharp wit and her passion:)

LOL, so far I'm pretty unimpressed with the Shards:) They seem to be the least interesting kind of magic Sanderson has come up with:) I'm also a bit annoyed that I'm starting to see patterns. The essences here remind me of the metals in Mistborn and you know how much I "loved" those:) (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I'm delighted that Jasnah has decided to let Shallan remain with her:). The theft was nothing to be proud of, but Shallan only done it to help save her family. Intentions are important:).

It's great that Kaladin finally managed to save some lives:).

I do wonder about Jasnah. She is such a strange character. I'm certain we will learn a lot more about her as I read that Sanderson considers her a "main character":). It's only a matter of time before we start getting Jasnah POV scenes:).

I think the Shards are quite interesting. They are powerful weapons, but not all that effective against Soulcasting or Surge-binding. I'm also very fascinated by their similarities with Nightblood. Syl does not like them at all. Remember her delight at the news Dalinar had relinquished his blade?. The Thrill is also a bit worrying. I suspect we will learn the Shard weapons are made from Odium's magic.

You should not be surprised by the patterns! Sanderson's Cosmere is basically one giant fantasy series. Similarities are deliberate:). (hide spoiler)]

I also have a feeling Jasnah will be a main character. I hope we get some POVs so that we learn more about her way of thinking. So far I've pigeonholed her as the typical spinster-scientist:))

(view spoiler)[I think the situation is another moral quandary worthy of one of Jasnah's philosophy in action lessons:). You know I'm all for idealists and high morals, but I do understand why characters would sacrifice everything including their morals and honor to protect those they love.

It is great that most of Bridge 4 survived:).

I must admit to listening to the first 5 minutes of Words of Radiance and was delighted to discover that Jasnah is the very first character to get a POV chapter:). I cannot wait to see the world from Jasnah's POV:)).

Nightblood is like a super Shard Blade! And much more interesting and intriguing for having a mind of his own. I suspect even a Shard Blade could not stand against Nightblood:). Nightblood is probably my favorite sword ever:)). (hide spoiler)]
