Several times, Bella thinks of her life as a book. For example: when thinking about Jacob, she thinks "I wasn't exactly sure what to do about the leftover, unresolved character.". I can't help but feel that the author is musing to herself about what direction she should take the Twilight series. This kind of feels like "breaking the fourth wall". Annoying.

Jacob's speech patterns have changed and it's throwing me off. He's calling Bella "honey" now. How did he go from smitten teenaged boy to tender mature adult in just a couple of weeks? The only differences are that Bella gave him hope for their relationship and he turned in to a werewolf. Not sure that this would cause such a change.
