Yay- a telepath!

I like how the story ends with him beginning the change process- would like to read more about these two, the father, and the future (will she get in trouble for changing him- she thinks she will but she is more powerful now…)

Ha- I like how she invokes Odon and Loki when thinking her father will kill the human. I’m loving the Marvel movies so this was an unexpected fun bit. I really liked how the daughter vampire became so strong without knowing it and able to stop her father from killing the human. That reminding me of Bella in Breaking dawn and the human reminded me of her when asking to be changed.

I’d like to learn more about woman who died, who was the father of her unborn child, etc. And I’d like to learn more about the female vampire’s backstory.

I really liked the Beyond the Night story, too. I will add this author to my lists. A lot of similarities to Twilight and today with the flu subplot. I like this universe and much less complicated than the first shape-shifter story. I like how the main character already says ghosts don’t drink blood- that’s vampires.

The Shadow of the Moon story was interesting and a very complex universe for a short story when I never read the other books. I do like the author and will add them to my list. The relationships are very complex, the shapeshifting is not clearcut, and there’s time-travel- always a fun trope. I liked how family and love were shown. Definitely clear parallels to racism.

I’m interested to see if any of these characters come back into any of the vampire books. I love the descriptions of their hair being so colorful. I always want more- will the kids develop ok, where will they get their blood from….

I really liked this story- and Claire’s guy/ex-boyfriend liking how Michael smells is so funny- I think he ex could be bi or even gay! I like how the escape worked out and Claire thought about fingerprints and her shoe but not thinking her car could be traced was a little naive. The butler getting killed like that was typical for this world’s vampires but definitely still gruesome. I liked how they kept having kids.
