This is my sixth book of John Boyne and just as the other five it has captured my attention from first pages. I have no doubt that this will be yet another great story all the way to the end. BUT WHY OH WHY, this perfectionist of an author made such a mess of Russian names and patronymics that derive from them that defy any rules of Russian grammar?! Never thought that I will see such blunders in Boyne’s books :(
