It's not that I don't still enjoy her anecdotes about her life but I'd say where the book falls flat is usually when she talks about her life. I usually take a break at those chapters and then power through them at another time. She just doesn't write about her TV show in a relatable way. It probably doesn't help that I only made it through the pilot and didn't enjoy it enough to keep watching.

I'm glad I started this book when I did, post 2020 presidential election. That said, I wonder how this will age. Th strength of this book compared to Shrill is that it's less specific to Lindy West and more contemporary cultural commentary. I didn't agree with her about everything but on certain topics... this definitely has that 'clever, funny person articulating everything you ever wanted to say about X' vibe.
