Received this book for free on the OSU campus some years back, never bothered to read it until now. The blurb on the back gives off the vibe of “this is an allegory about sexuality and spirituality as forms of social control weaponized to coerce people into servility”, and while I can appreciate the idea, the actual writing here is insipid and self-indulgent. Things like naming the villain “Trevillian”.
