Oh NO. Marianne gets sick and has to rush outside right in the middle of her embassy! Then she's not sure what to do next, so she curtsies. This must have been the kind of situation the Queen of Hearts was thinking of when she told Alice, '"Curtsy while you're thinking what to say, it saves time. "'

Marianne finally meets the Sultana, French cousin of the Empress Josephine, and she's beyond beautiful and charming. Wikipedia says there's no proof the Sultana really was Josephine's cousin, but if she wasn't, she should have been.
