This scene is cool- how V irritates L and how L didn’t see Raven in any of his premonitions. Then V saying he never sees his own future/destiny/ anything for/about himself/things that effect him. And L feeling a “shimmer of awareness, of heat, of purpose” when he directs Raven to “see me”. lt reminds be of Alice’s wolf shapeshifter blindspot in Twilight. And how “the gift of light” is like Tolkein.

I think it’s interesting how Raven was not in a place but in time- reminds me of Marvel. And Raven speaking without moving her lips- more like Lassister- I would have shivered at that like Savage and been scared of Raven, too.

And I wonder if or how the book will be able to give D her true love.

It’s so interesting how Daveena rises from the ashes like a phoenix- very poetic. And I love the snarky book giving her the finger- I thought of Hocus Pocus and that book being alive. I like that Daveena is stripped down to raw flesh and needs time to regenerate- it doesn’t sound like the same process for Raven and Savage. D’s taking pity on the book is interesting- I am curious about that relationship.

I finally watched “Tuck Everlasting” and see how living while people you love keep dying can be torture. I didn’t like the movie much and vampires in this universe live a long time- S remembers Thor, V, Wrath, etc. so he didn’t loose everyone but, before he re-met the BDB, he was alone, didn’t show himself to them.

I thought it was so funny how S surprises Mae coming out of the bathroom- I would have screamed, too if I just saw my dead boyfriend alive again, and I would have thought it was Daveena except for the reincarnation thing.

I didn’t know this about fire survivors- that the smoke stays in your sinuses for days and you can’t get rid of it faster- sounds like a horrible reminder of a nightmare.

Nice little comic relief- Daveena’s “Oprah” moment- instead of “you get a car”, hers is “you have a flame” while setting the house on fire- disturbing but funny.
