I do not believe the community is a safe place for boys. I have no faith in them protecting the boys from harm when they are the ones doing the harm. The boys have no choice in anything. If it was me, I would leave on Candle Day and never look back. Being oppressed is not a life worth living.

The community's law not fair at all. The men's punishments are so lenient and the boy's small infraction is met with harsh punishments. It didn't matter if what the boy did was out of self preservation. I HATE THIS. I meant the men.
