Not many books actually bring me to tears, but this one did. Lilli fought with all she had to keep her child safe knowing she had little chance to raise her. Her life was at its lowest without much hope for improvement. How can a civilization be so cruel to the women who mother it’s children. The character of this woman sent a message of love, courage, and determination through every crisis.
