The stories have reminded me of many other authors: Fredric Brown, Isaac Asimov, Bob Shaw, Ramsey Campbell, Anna Kavan, John Collier; earlier, I mentioned Charles Beaumont. But, her plots and ideas are uniquely her own. I dare say this author might also appeal to Charlotte Perkins Gilman fans, or even Shirley Jackson fans. Great variety here!

I read the Intro by one of my faves, Ramsey Campbell, and now I'm ready for the tale trail!. St. Clair's novel Sign of the Labrys didn't really work for me, but I enjoyed one of her short stories (in a different book) recently, and am up for more.
