Jb Fulcher are you gonna go in order and do the whole series or just drop in here and there and every which where?

i dont know :D
one of my neighbors told me i should read some pratchett. I have her reading the house of the spirits! and I just started this one.

She also loves the wee free men. I know she would like me to read that one but... I have no other plan as to what/when/etc. What would you suggest? :D I do like it so far although it seems to be a little less character development emphasis than I prefer. Still good so far though :D

Jb Fulcher I am less familiar with Pratchett than you would expect by me being me and my personality being what it is and whatnot.

But! I have read a few of the Discworld books, and I think they're worth your time.

I don't know the exact Discworld reading order, I think a lot of them you can just pop in and enjoy - at least that's what I always did. But I will say I really enjoyed the books "Mort" and "Reaper Man" that deal with the personification of Death. I also liked "Small Gods" a lot, which is kinda a religious creationist satire when the all-powerful god Om comes to earth and ends up in the body of a tortoise. Those three books deal with big philosophical questions about life and death, existence, and the like and those concepts tend to naturally lead to more character development than just jokes.

Jennifer Drees i looked those up and they sound right in my wheelhouse :D thanks for the recommendations!
i think i wont do them in order all at once because he seems like a writer who i will enjoy mostly, but certain books will keep me want to keep going back. :D

have you read the moore book lamb, the gospel according to biff, jesus' childhood friend? it is so fantastic. you should get on it if you havent :D
