Just started the alt pick for S&L this month. A religion that fights demons and grants power through brands? Interesting concept. I believe it was a self-published thing through the Kindle program.

There's a lot going on and it can be a little hard to parse...I seem to get through about 15% a day it seems. It's weird trying to split time between books.

This book has definite flaws and really could use an editor, but that's forgivable in a self-published work. The story has an interesting premise and the magic systems are intriguing. I'm wondering where the book is supposed to be set...is it a different timeline of Earth? An Earth-like planet?
