The Greeks called emotions pathē, meaning "experi-ence" or "suffering." Whether it was one or the other depended on which pathe you were experiencing (or suffering).

“Crusading as a Use of Love”
It is amazing to read about the Crusading from others perspective. The use of love is surprise for me.

This is similar to what the Muslim prophet heard when Holly spirit visited him.

What is love?
“First, there’s lust, kicked off by the hormones that live in our sex organs—testosterone and estrogen.”
“Then, if you like the person you lust after, the hypothalamus kicks out another chemical—dopamine—to trigger attraction. ”
“Finally, there’s attachment, which mostly relies on oxytocin. Oxytocin is released during bonding—specifically childbirth, breastfeeding, and sex. ”

“I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing faithful love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commands.”
