// It seems to be a very American thing so I’m going to say that it pisses the fuck out of me when Americans have this incredibly obnoxious, intrusive, and irritating way of taking a perfectly wonderful and beautiful name and butchering it - in books and in real life!! The name Ellison is a gorgeous name, why do we fucking need to shorten it to Eli?! It’s a really obnoxious American tendency!! Stop it already!!
