Me, beginning the book: wow, the writing style is amateurish and boring.
Me, later on in the book: okay, the story seems to make up for the style, and this book isn't just labeled as Christian, which is great!

And I don't mind her style of writing, I think I have read so many classics and books from all different time periods that it doesn't bother me.
