While I like this author his protagonist is as dumb as a box of rocks. She's killed whatever brain cells she had (and she never had many to begin with) with her alcoholic binges.

At this stage I think the author likes torturing her. If you like books filled with Shadenfreid then this book is filled it. If you ever hated the dumb blonde in the popular cliqu in high school who mocked you, than this book is for you.
