Take anything you know about science, spit on it, and toss it out the window. Now, you're ready for this series... So far it isn't bad, but it does seem to be trying to mix Star Trek and David Weber. It is jarring... If the author didn't try to explain or detail since things, it would work better. Phony science is best when glossed over. I'm still holding out hope for the book, but we'll see...
