I'm sorry, but I honestly find it sickening when a guy kisses a girl then apologizes, saying it's a mistake, and the girl gets all upset and insecure. Like, really? Happens in every romance, I swanny.
Plus, I hate how casual Mrs. Hedlund is about birth control, not only in this novel but also Come Back to Me. Just wrong, y'all.

This whole weird thing with boys taking advantage of girls seems to be a pattern with Jody Hedlund, then. I noticed it in Protecting Annie as well

What I can't stand is that the guy thinks saying it was a mistake will somehow make it better, when in reality the girl enjoyed the kiss and is really upset that he would think that, y'know? Too much face-palming drama for me. XD
He doesn't want to push her = she feels rejected. One of my least favorite romantic misunderstandings. Come to think of it, I have no favorite romantic misunderstandings.

If only people would just be honest and communicate... *sighs* As much as I love romance, I'm with you - I can't stand all the constant misunderstanding.
