...just out of sight, I have this strange feeling that there lies a new color, one that can't be seen by these weak and fragile eyes of mine, a color that never fades, but instead grows stronger with each passing moment, a color that consumes all others, but does so without destroying them, instead enriching them, making them whole, when they didn't even know they were only whispers and shadows of this other light.

He glances back at me and I clench my fists. His eyes are filled with pity. Pity is what people give you when they don't have the power to give anything else. I would just as well they keep it.
