Three cheers for @MarissaAmes excellent yarn about a wandering minstrel whose wits bear the weight of two kingdoms. 4.5 stars, but I'm rounding it up to 5 for the sheer scope, gorgeous characterization, and sterling water-tightness of the tale. If we had more indie reads like this, independent publishing as a whole would have a far greater reputation. NOW...Where's my sequel, dangit?!?

Beautiful book. Already desperately wanting a sequel.

3/4 in and still a gem of a book. Can't wait to see how Ames ties the bow on this one.
