I think the point of reservations for minorities may have merit. But then again, should reservations be if a group is discriminated and/or is denied equality of opportunity ? Or on the basis of identity ?
Maybe in every democracy, a minority would find it reassuring to have an assured say in the parliament. However, percentage of seats should be less - say half of the percentage of population. Food for thought !
