The start of this book really grabbed me but I actually feel like it's a chore to read it now. I don't know if a lot is being lost in the translation but the short sentences of narrative "telling" is really frustrating. I'm finding the chapters sometimes read more like a list than as a flow of dialogue and prose.
This may still end up on my DNF list.
