So I have finished book 1 in the trilogy. It’s an odd read. Firstly you are hooked. There is a thrilling edge to the first part of this twilight for adults book. Vampires, Demons, alchemical symbolism. A will they won’t they romantic edge. Then the books lethargy drives in full belt. And apart from a few thrilling encounters it’s all about, well nothing, really. Will read on, time for a new read first though.
