This book is a great look at the stigma of miscarriage by women and the medical field in the 1800 and the 1900. As someone who has had a miscarriage it was nice to hear the accounts of women before me. To see reasons many women refused to tell anyone about their "situation " was reassuring to me that I am not alone. The medical field from the beginning has put the woman at fault for most miscarriages.
