I am getting tired on Vanessa's family. Why did she go to El Paso? Why did she stay so long with her toxic family? Why doesn't Aidan acknowledge other people?
At part 9 of 16, my favorite parts are her interactions with friend Diana or roommate Zack. I feel that at least a quarter of this could have been trimmed without any harm to the story.
Oddities: she didn't have to pay her last month's rent? Glasses legs?
