@marci it’s so hard to explain 😂 it’s just like the way they talk feels like it lacks realness to it? As if it was written by someone who’s never had face to face conversations so it reads more like how you’d have a conversation through text. So it seems fine in theory but if you imagine the conversation actually happening in real life it feels like it would seem so awkward 😅

First, yes, exactly. I read this one but none of the rest of the series because the dialogue was so forced and false. Second, I just dnf’ed The Wingman 2 chapters in for the same reason. Life’s too short for bad books.

@kirsten I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt that way! I ended up dnfing this partly because of the writing and also because of Chance’s stupid jealousy so soon after meeting 🙄
