So is it as good as you'd hoped it would be? :)

Well, there's a lot of backstory and set up for the big We Loathe Each Other part of the book. And while the book (up to this point - I'm maybe 130 pages in) is good, I don't yet feel captivated.

That said, I think that my expectations for this one have been really high because it's been compared to Stormfire (which I loved). So, based on that, I might be just a tad biased and may not be giving it a fair assessment. But on a positive note, I'm not reading anything else on the side (which is a sure sign that a book is not lighting my fire).

I'm still looking forward to the major drama that (I hope - from what I've heard) will come, but so far, it's pretty tame for a 1978 Bodice Ripper.

What constitutes a bodice ripper is soooo subjective. When I see mildly romantic covers given the BR label by idiots, it's like "Are you HIGH?"

Tru dat. :) Isn't there a BR checklist somewhere that we can refer people to? *LOL*
