Not familiar with her work but will now be looking for more. This was very well done. Not just good plot and characters but significant backstory and even myth and still a short story. That's talent.

I have not read this series but I will have to take a look at it. I really liked this, despite the wartime POV which normally doesn't interest me.

I got this for "Dying with Her Cheer Pants On" by Seanan McGuire. This was not what I expected, and it's the only time I have not enjoyed something by Ms. McGuire. I guess I am WAY too much of an optimist to have this be the ending for the Fighting Pumpkins. And humanity? I mean, so they took out the aliens, too. Yay? What happens next?
