I believe that Emily is in some way, form, or fashion related too Nora. I think Andrew is related to Nick and through some curse or spell, Andrew is doomed to Nick's fate. If I remember correctly, his dad died in a car crash and so did Nick. I think Nick and Nora are pushing Emily and Andrew to relive their past to find clues to help them break the spell that keeps them apart. Or, I could be way off base. We'll see.
