I think the heroine might be too immature for me. The dialogue in this book is not as authentic as it was in Taken. The author's writing has improved since publishing this.

From the reviews this seems different than the last book by this author I just read -- messier and more OTT. The last book was so emotional I feel like I need something trashier (less realistic) as a palate cleanser. I'm getting Sinden West vibes tbh.
