Very slow going with this one. Having a hard time getting into it. I know they tell writers to show, not tell; but it seems like this one is going overboard on the showing. Like overly descriptive. I can't really connect with the MC, either. I don't understand the thing with the rat. And how it only seems to appear at random times when something needs to happen.
