Yeah it definetly feels like its at least partially influenced by both NGE and AOT. Maybe for the last ones its just the wall and hoards of villains that lack sentience, and of course, the giant creatures that are half alive controlled by a pilot. So far writing style is not my favorite however the plot and characters make up for that 10x over, amazing debut novel so far.

I’m not a huge fan of Wu Zeitan so far, mostly because she FEELs to much like 18 year with a black and white world view of right and wrong, but I think that’s kinda cool for the story so far
