I'm watching Cursed on Netflix at the moment and these books give me similar vibes. Both of the main characters have powers that make them different to the rest of their people and are frowned upon at first. The themes are similar.

I feel like this book is starting off at a very slow pace though. After the intense action at the end of the previous books, it makes a big contrast. Hopefully it picks up soon.
