I was immediately intrigued by the world and the way the author pulls me in. Matthew is… dangerous, but also Diana is being really irrational and stupid for trying to ignore her magic. She is clearly powerful and she will end up hurting somebody by not knowing how to control her powers. I love the dynamic between the witches daemons and vampires, also the humans. It builds great tension and mystery.
